Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Wellington!

When you arrive in the historic village of Wellington, your eyes are drawn to a tall spire rising high above the landscape, visible even from afar. At its base, where the church meets the earth, beside our front door, stands a wooden carving of the Good Shepherd, gently carrying a lamb upon His shoulders.

For more than two hundred years, we have sought to love God above us and our neighbors beside us, living out the command Jesus gave: "Love the Lord your God, and love your neighbor" (Matthew 22:37–39). Walking with Jesus—who has gifted the world with hope, peace, joy, and love—we invite you to join us on a journey of transformation, guided by the love of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
